Designed for school presentations, this assembly will start with a film presentation highlighting Lopez’s basketball career and journey from a high school phenom to NBA Cares Ambassador. Upon conclusion of the film, Felipe will take the microphone and share experiences that have impacted his life as a teenager, athlete and speaker, empowering the audience to rethink how we look at success and balancing academics with sports. He will touch on the importance of an education, adapting to new school and/or culture, peer pressure and bullying, as well as learning to get up upon falling down. To conclude the event, he will field questions from the audience.

In this very personal presentation, Felipe will share his journey from being at the top, falling down, and rising up again in a honest format with just a microphone. The event will start with a 5-minute film introducing Lopez and showing highlights of his basketball career and his dream to play in the NBA. From growing up in in the Dominican Republic to becoming a high school phenom, playing Division 1 basketball and in the NBA, he will take the audience on his journey from being the King of New York to where his life is now. Additionally, he will relate his story to the audience addressing themes of balancing academic and career,  giving back to your community, importance of college degree and adapting to society or other peoples expectations of you. To conclude the event Felipe will field questions from the audience
